Kassidy Fitzgerald recently graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a BFA in Dance after dedicating 15+ years to learning, appreciating and performing.
Kassidy has been a part of Vicky Simegatos Performing Arts Center’s competition team where she won numerous top score awards throughout the Tri-state area. She was also accepted into Vicky Simegiatos Performing Arts Center’s scholarship program where she performed leading roles in various full length professional ballet productions with the Vicky Simegiatos Dance Company. VSPAC provided her with a strong foundation and outstanding technique as well as nurturing environment where she fell in love with the art of dance. She gained fundamental experience of ballet, tap, contemporary and jazz learning under Vicky Simegiatos, Despina Simegiatos, Matina Simegiatos, Nanette Michele and Alexis Stefanou. Furthermore, Kassidy was accepted and attended LaGuardia High School where she was introduced to modern forms of dance while also perfecting her ballet technique and being introduced to choreography. After performing with the Martha Graham Teens at Graham Company, and working with choreographers such as Tommy Tibball, Blakey White-McGuire, Joesph Smith, Gennesy Castillo etc., she decided to further expand her knowledge in dance and choreography and pursued a BFA at SUNY Purchase College. Here she took classes in various concert dance styles up to 20+ hours a week. She was chosen to be a part of the Purchase Dance Company where she worked with Dorchel Haqq, Wallie Wolfgruber, and the Bill T. Jones company. During her time at SUNY Purchase Kassidy has also successfully performed and choreographed 6+ minute works for audiences. All while attending the Rockette Summer Intensives yearly and attending the Exactitude Studio ran by Rockette Traci Reszetylo to work to achieve her dreams to be a Radio City Rockette.

Kassidy is excited to return to her dance home at VSPAC and aspires to introduce dance as a fun, engaging, and exciting part of her students day while also perfecting necessary skills.
