Kira Farberov was born in Moscow, Russia and has been living in Brooklyn, New York. She has been a member of the Vicky Simegiatos Performing Arts Center and Dance Company since 1994 and became a member of the VSPAC faculty at age 13. Kira is very proud and grateful to have been trained by Vicky, Matina and Despina Simegiatos, as well as all of her other teachers, in addition to guest choreographers Yesid Lopez, Caitlyn Gray, Billy Bell, KC Castellano, Tyce Diorio, Charles Askegard, Maria Kowroski, and Chris Coates. 


Kira has competed on VSPAC's top scoring, regionally ranked competition team and continues to perform in the annual VSDC The Nutcracker . She has performed at Madison Square Garden, The Walt Whitman Theater at Brooklyn College, The Grand Prospect Hall and the historical St. George Theater. She is a graduate of SUNY Binghamton University where she majored in Psychology, double minored in Russian and Spanish Language and Literature and performed on the Division One Bear Cat Dance Team. 


Kira was the creator and manager of the Models At Large Instagram Sponsorship Program at Body Wrappers/Angelo Luzio and worked closely with Tiler Peck, Principal Dance of the New York City Ballet on photo shoots and marketing material for the Tiler Peck Designs line. Kira loves teaching all of her students and believes that ballet training and a strong class structure is key in developing dance technique. Kira enjoys introducing her students to the classics of 90's boy bands and early 2000's hip hop and sharing stories of growing up in the VSPAC home. She is a major foodie, loves spending time with her family and loves to travel all around the world.
